As we move into the final quarter of 2021, one bright spot as been the return of regularly scheduled community events. Last week's Oktoberfest, put on by the Lee's Summit Chamber, marked a successful return of festivals. And now that fall is officially here, Nick and Jason talk about some of the other beloved community-wide events on the calendar.
If it feels like it's been more than a year since we've all gathered for a community festival in downtown, well, that's because it has been. But that's all about to change. Rachel Dyer, from the Lee's Summit Chamber's Oktoberfest committee, joins Nick and Jason to preview this weekend's festival. That's right, folks, Oktoberfest is this weekend in downtown Lee's Summit! The Lee's Summit City Council is talking about redistricting and the possibility of establishing the City's own health department.
