Local business owner Brett Jackson enters the vault to chat about an exciting new event built to encourage and support the next generation of entrepreneurs. The Lake Lotawana Children's Business Fair is set for June 17 at the Foxberry Estates clubhouse in eastern Lee's Summit and will feature opportunities for young makers and aspiring entrepreneurs ages 7-14 to showcase their wares for the both the public and a panel of judges. The annual festival serves as both the unofficial kick-off to the summer season but also as the main fundraiser for the local nonprofit in its continuing efforts to serve the historic district and keep it as one of the nation's top downtown areas.
