Seth Allen had some very specific goals when he first opened Libations & Co. in downtown Lee's Summit. But, he knows both business and dreams can evolve. Just months after moving the business from 23 SW Third Street to 25 SW Third Street and doubling in size, he's now ready for another big step. The 1909 Club celebrates a soft opening this week and will be open to the public the following weekend. Named after the date of the building's original construction, Allen refers to the new venue as a music hall dedicated to high quality craft cocktails, music and a vibe you can't find anywhere else in town.

Jeff Driskill has spent his life in the world of sports. He played football in high school, then at the NCAA Division I level. He played semi-pro (where he won a Super Bowl ring!) and went on to be a collegiate head coach... And then he went into sales. But here's the thing about this local resident who now coaches high school football players, sales professionals and business executives alike, it turns out being good at sales means you have to be a good coach, too.
