Election day has come and gone, what have we learned and what’s next?

The (unofficial) election results are out there. A couple of incumbents remain in office and several newcomers are ready to step onto the dais for the Lee's Summit City Council and Lee's Summit R-7 Board of Education. Lee's Summit Town Hall hosts Nick Parker and Jason Norbury review the results and take a look at what we've learned from this latest election cycle and what the results could mean for the community going forward.

Meet your candidates for Mayor

It's been way too long since we've hosted an in person Town Hall episode. In front of a live audience at Bridge Space in downtown Lee's Summit, Mayoral candidates Bill Baird and Diane Forte joined hosts Nick Parker and Jason Norbury for a conversation on local issues and their visions for the future of the community... And as an added bonus, we raised a little money for two local nonprofits — Hope House and Lee's Summit Social Services.

The City’s worst kept secret is out

It hasn't been much of a secret, but this week's City Council meeting confirmed current Assistant City Manager Mark Dunning will succeed Steve Arbo as the next City Manager in September. A first reading of the hiring agreement was unanimously approved by Council. Jason and Nick take a look and then look at a few upcoming local events.
